ডঃ এম. এম. এ. হাসেম

Professor (Grade 1), Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Khulna 9203, Bangladesh

About

I have served KUET across major teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities throughout my career, including earlier roles as Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Head of the CSE department.

I received my PhD in Artificial Intelligence Systems from Saga University, Japan (with a dissertation on evolutionary algorithms for global optimization), an M.Eng. in Computer Science from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from KUET.

My research focuses on artificial and computational intelligence, intelligent robotics, IoT and network security, machine learning and deep learning, health informatics, biomedical instrumentation, and mobile/cloud computing.

I have published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and maintain an active pipeline of journal and conference submissions spanning AI, security, and applied healthcare technologies.

I also contributed at the national scale as a Technical Support Team consultant for Bangladesh’s Research and Education Network (BdREN), helping design and implement optical transmission, IP/MPLS data networking, and data center infrastructure.
